This policy covers GrowingSmart's dictation app Parlissima for Mac, and future versions for iPhone. In short: the app does not collect any personal data. Your speech and your text stay on your own device.
The app is published by GrowingSmart Strandberg Management AB. If you have any questions, email [email protected].
The app only uses the microphone when you start a dictation yourself, by clicking the penguin or pressing the dictation key. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device with Klang Pianissimo. No audio is sent to us or to anyone else.
None of this leaves your device, and we have no access to it.
The app uses the internet only once: to download the speech model from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) the first time you start it. As with any download, Hugging Face sees your IP address. The app sends no data about you or how you use it.
On Mac the app asks for Accessibility permission. It is needed for the dictation key to work in every app and for the text to be pasted where your cursor is. The app only checks whether the cursor is in a password field, and in that case never pastes anything. It does not read the content of your other apps. Whatever was on your clipboard is put back after pasting.
Since the app collects no personal data, we hold no data about you to hand over, correct or delete. Everything the app stores is on your device and is removed when you delete the app. For other questions about personal data, GrowingSmart's privacy policy applies.
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
